Regarding Firearms:
- You must pass a federal NICS background check and meet minimum age restrictions (18+ for long guns, 21+ for handguns). This requires a valid state-issued photo ID with a current address. If your photo ID does not have your current address we can use a vehicle registration, voter registration, or hunting/fishing license. Customers with a current Texas LTC/CHL are exempt from a NICS check. If you are not yet a US Citizen, we require a valid copy of your Permanent Resident Card (“Green Card”).
- The transfer fee must be paid in advance and is not eligible for refund if you receive a NICS delay/deny.
- Firearm transfers are done in person after all applicable state and federal requirements have been successfully completed.
- We will only transfer a firearm to the individual whose name is on the invoice.
Please note that copies/images of IDs are not accepted as valid forms of identification. Your physical IDs must be in-hand and unaltered.
All FFL transfers must be picked up within 30 days of delivery. Shipping and tracking information should be sent to you from the transferring dealer or individual. Please allow us up to 48 hours to receive the item into our books. Once it’s ready, we’ll notify you that your transfer is ready for pickup; when that occurs we can schedule a time for you to begin the transfer process.
After the first 30 days, Autavilla Arms will charge you a storage fee of $10 per day. At 60 days an additional $10 per day charge will be added. Once the storage fee exceeds the cost/value of the firearm, then the firearm will be considered abandoned and will be put into store inventory for resale. Transfers to Autavilla Arms is at the customer’s own risk and Autavilla Arms is not responsible for any loss or damage to transferred firearms. The seller is responsible for acquiring Autavilla Arms’ FFL by requesting via transfers@avarmstx.com. We will not send our FFL to an individual, only to another dealer with a valid FFL.
Individual (non-licensee) shipments follow the same guidelines as an FFL Transfer. The sender must notify us prior to sending firearms, ship with insurance and adult signature. The shipper must email us a copy of a state-issued photo ID card such as a Driver’s License or Carry Permit. The ID must have a current address and is not expired. We will not receive any shipments from individuals without a photo ID sent to us beforehand.
Photos will be taken of boxes appeared to be damaged during shipment.
- You are responsible for knowing your federal, state and local laws regarding firearm and ammunition purchase and possession.
- You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase long guns and rifle/shotgun ammunition; 21 years of age to purchase handguns and handgun ammunition.
- Upon transfer, you assume all legality, liability and responsibility for the condition, use & security/storage of the firearm(s).
- New firearms/products are warrantied by the manufacturer and product returns/repairs should be arranged directly with the manufacturer. Most manufacturers will require the customer pay shipping to get a firearm/product to them for repair. Please expect to be responsible for the shipping if you have a warranty issue.
- Used firearms are sold as-is and are not tested for function.
- All purchases are subject to our return policy.
